City woman murdered in gang-related shooting Posted by the _Asbury Park Press_ (http://www.app.com/) on 12/6/06 STAFF REPORT ASBURY PARK — A woman was shot last night in an apartment complex off Mattison Avenue and taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, where she was pronounced dead, a police source said.
Authorities are investigating the shooting as gang-related, the source said. The woman apparently furnished police with information that led to the arrest of a man who had committed a robbery, the source said. The robbery suspect apparently is a member of the Bloods street gang and the shooting was in retaliation for the woman's cooperation with police, the source said. No other details were available.
