You may be right, but if history is any indication, I don't see any
change, here, not for the majority, that live on the West Side, the
southern portion of a town that can find money for a new City Hall,
which is less than 30 years old, but can't find after school activity,
except "boxing", which I find a brutal "blood sport"! You sound like
most who tell us to "move on"! It's easy when you haven't been the
"victim" of slavery or descendant of those who labored for nothing!
You're part of the reason, why we can't get a job in this town! If
you don't study your history, you're doomed to repeat it! Ask Nixon!
The same illegal spying and surveillance, going on now, occurred in
1969, through 1974, in Washington, DC. Bush is doing the same; even
has an "enemy's list", just like Nixon. Do you know why ordinary
blacks, rioted, over 30 years, ago? You need to find out, before you
tell me to move on! Did you know that certain citizens of this town,
are routinely surveilled? There's lots of curious goings on, here,
that smell! I read in yeaterday's Coaster, some of the comments made
by Black Citizens, that don't jive with your post, here. I am willing
to "move on", just like moveon.org, a progressive group, online, that
seek justice for ALL, not just for some. There are some who see a
former poster of this group, who is white, as an agitator. That's
what they called dissidents, who came south to register blacks to
vote! You can't tell me to move on when after living in the South all
my life, found racism here, as fresh as it was in the 50's! Yes, I'll
moveon, when I see the same rights for Blacks, as whites have always
enjoyed! When I see this, I'll move on.
