Another follow-up to Dan's point. One of our district's important goals is to raise student scores on a number of mandated tests.
I contend that those we elect as overseers of the system should also be able
to demonstrate proficiency at the same levels students are being asked to
achieve. Anything less would be an injustice to the students (even if you
call
it the "Justice" ticket).

Such poor performance goes back many decades, and it would be unjust to
accuse the current board as the cause. We'll certainly need more than "manly
deeds" to raise those scores.
An election strategy exploiting "Us vs.Them" indicates no real
understanding nor solutions. If I had to go for surgery or even simple
therapy, I'd want
to know how professional, how competent, how proficient the practioners are,
not how many "kids" they have.

posts.
