Werner, buddy! Let's be fair to recent history! The Palace
Amusements was handed to the Tillie people to find a developer. They
couldn't find one with a world wide search!. It couldn't be saved.

Even those involved in Historic Preservation thought the Albion was
a lost cause. Even Kate said it had to go. Some buildings are just
outdated. That was one of them. I'm familiar with that place having
been in there many times when it was operating. It just wasn't up
to the standards people expect today.

Had we followed a purely preservationist plan, we'd still have those
scary looking eyesores standing there and begging some fool to dump
his money in.

With MM looking for changes, you may yet get your mixed-use wish. I
hope you'll post something happy if that happens!
