The vacant lots issue has come up here before. Whether they should be left
as eye sores or temporarily camouflaged a bit (e.g., the Esperanza scrim ).
Also the natural tension between preservation and redevelopment is still with
us. So is the maintenance and/or restoration of parks.

1. Would you want to freeze your ass off in Buffalo?
2. Live in Detroit? (I actually know a few people there that love
it). Same there - freeze....
3. Youngstown Oh. Ditto.

They don't have want AP was given:

The Ocean and another mile west.

AP got rid of most of the vacant properties years ago, a good
majority of which east of main.

Over the 5 years, much has been done. BUT there is still more to go
and more to take advantage of, esp since there is money around.

Empty lot: Springwood, Memorial.

Why not take an action to BUILD new housing to replace Boston
Village? Take it down.

I wasn't going to post this week.

Cordiali saluti,

Mario
