Just a reminder. Stand Up For Asbury is hosting an informal get
together at the Cabana Club on the boardwalk this Sunday from 11:00
to 2:00 p.m. Bloody Maries, Mimosas and Nosh will be served. The
purpose of this get together is to bring everyone up to speed on our
fight against the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission. JSRM is a religious
organization that invites numerous homeless men to Asbury Park
including addicts, alcoholics, ex-cons and the mentally ill only to
dump them on the streets of our city. This is becoming an enormous
financial drain on Asbury Park and has aversely affected our security
and quality of life issues.
The Asbury Park Zoning Board is holding a hearing next Tuesday. It
is our hope that the board will deny the variances that have allowed
this Mission to operate.
To help pay for our expensive attorney, we are also holding a fund
raiser and raffling off fabulous prizes! I want to thank Rich V. for
donating a great beach chair and towel. If you have any fabulous
