I saw it, plus the comments.

It isn't Cristoforo I'm fan of; I'm a fan of his personal discovery 
of the West, which led to European knowledge that it was here, which 
led to European migration to the New World, which led to 
colonialists who held Judeo-Christian values and knew what 
governmental failures to avoid because they fled from them, which 
led to the founding of the United States of America, where I'm from.

That's my heritage.  Usually when we see people celebrating their 
heritage, they are treated with a great deal of deference and 
respect.

For some reason when I want to celebrate my American heritage, 
certain people (always on the political left) wish to show 
disrespect to my traditional celebratio, my celebration of who I am.
