Sounds like a blend between Pier Village and Red Bank. 
I used to love Red Bank when it felt like mainstreet USA. Now it feels like an 
upscale mall 
that I can't afford to shop in. Mainstreet Disney.
Pier Village is one of the worst examples of modern American architecture that 
i've ever 
seen. 
Another example is the new Tinton Falls municipal complex that you can see just 
off of the 
parkway. To me, it looks like an oversized version of the little houses from a 
Monopoly 
game, molded, boring, boxey.
