Maybe someone will take your lyrics and make us a new song, one that
will bring us up to date, FCC purge and all.
I should put a link on my site to our old theme song, the one Mark
and Joan, Lipman and The Lips, wrote us: "Each Thursday night you can
voice your rights on Asbury Radio..." There are still people who
don't know that publics rights was what we were about.
I get these questions from people when I say the FCC turned our
transmitter off. Oh, but you weren't controversial were you? Two
thoughts go through my head: 1) of course not, we were only into
mental masturbation like the rest of the jocks. Can't figure why
anyone would be upset. What are you an idiot? Think Harry Conover,
the County's Emerg. Management Officer, or our local EMO, Terry
Reidy, liked us breathing down his neck because Asbury Park didn't
have - still doesn't have - an official disaster plan? (Just one
example.)
2) Then I think, does this person think controversy is an act
punishable by federal action in this country? Maybe it is.
