1. Ran into Johna Karpinski again and told her of you again. She has
some funding initiatives going for your park there. She told me to
give you her number. She works at Conover: 732-897-9200 x 127. You
two will work well together.
2. In today's paper, Corzine, Milgram (atty geneneral) and Fuentes
(state police) announced a new anti-crime initiative, that included
$$$ for cameras. I know this issue is your passion.
I think you should call each of their offices asap. Tell them where
you live and that you want cameras for AP. Ask how you can make that
happen. Don't hesitate.
I'd help with the calls, but those folks aren't exactly my peeps ;-).
There is someone in Corzine's office that I'm pretty sure would throw
the phone if you mentioned me (don't ask).
Here's a list of folks I think you should have help you with the calls:
- Assemblyman Sean Kean. He did that Press Conference about a month
ago here in AP as he is seeking money for cameras. He's running for
Senator - great incentive to help you now.
- Councilman Keady. He's working on it with Sean.
- Deputy Mayor Bruno. My estimation is he is more involved with the D
party than Keady. Wouldn't hurt to have him call with you.
- Campaign Headquartes of Villapiano, Napolitano and Pirnot in Ocean
Township. They are Democrats running for Senate and Assembly
respectively. Great incentive to help you right now.
If you get him on the phone, tell Johnny Napolitano I said if he
doesn't help you I won't let him pose for publicity pictures with me
anymore.
Caveat: Elections a few weeks away. Everyone's busy. Expect a
slowed response from candidates, but keep on them.
