-my kid just turned 14. e weasnt playing sports (got to practice
everyday), but rides dirtbikes and quads... Before he turned 14 ,
could not wait to get a job. He got one bussing tables at Dano's. Day
3. Didn't want to go to work, but he knew he committed. He wants to be
a Dr.

What he do for fun - vidoe games (some), riding, surfing, jumping on
trampoline for hours, keeping his room clean, hanging with friends.
goes out on friends boats all summer, getting carted around to do all
these things by his dad when dad is not wasting time on the internet.
Asking lots of questions and learning. Things the average kid in AP
probably doesn't get a chance to do, as I explain to them over and
over. I hope someday they are successful and give back for what I and
hopefully they have earned.

Sure kids waste time and it takes more to entertain them, unless you
jsut get them away from it all and slow them down. In addition to
sports and all that bs, not bad to make them work with someone here
and there sticking a roof on (my kids this weekend), mowing a lawn
planting flowers or fixing a sprinkler system.

Hopfeully one or more things stick.

I stole money from my grandmother to play pinball in the casino.
Looking back, I guess int was my first investment. I only played games
I could pop, then sell them to someone else waiting to play.....
