People go to grab dinner, walk, shop etc. The design is not perfect however it draws in people, a lot of people. Hard to say that about what was there before. Allied created a successful place out of a ruin. You man not agree with retail on the water however, I find it hard to say it was the worst thing to happen. > > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: Hinge <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Thursday, October 11, 2007 10:28:17 AM > Subject: [AsburyPark] Old Man Rafferty's - My review > > So, last night I went to Old Man Rafferty's for the first time. > I loved it. > The decore is dark and elegant, and the staff was really friendly. What was there before drew many more people, Kid's World and The Pier were a bigger magnet than Pier Village. You also didn't see the code enforcement officer's ex felon defunct Police Officer working as a manager where a liquor lisence was in the old days. I also hear this official's wife is also working there as well. Pier Village was built while it's owner Joe Barry, was in Federal Pen for bribing an elected official. Now out making millions. Pier Village is an embarrassment to Long Branchers. Unfortunately, like wounded knee it may take close to a century to find out just how unconstitutional it all really was. To The Lakota Nation To pOletown and to those in Long Branch who suffered. ci' ami Rafferty's should be a great success. Yahoo!
