(Their original bakery is in WLB) Great sfogliatelle and rice pudding, like Moma's. Super clean. _Click here: Italian Deli, Food, Catering Services. Oakhurst, NJ._ (http://www.ninojrsitalianspecialties.com/) 2. The former "Pork Store" on Asbury Ave. moved across the street and is now called Jimmy Pecci's "Taste of Italy." _http://www.tasteofitalymarket.com/index.html_ (http://www.tasteofitalymarket.com/index.html) , close to the Parkway. Pastries delivered from Brooklyn, but not as good as Nino's pastries. Best for their premise-made sausage with or w/o fennel. (Brothers split up.) 3. Drew's was a misleading name. Used to be "Sal's and Drew's," now just "Sal's Original Meats Deli & Catering," in what used to be the Treasure Island (now Staples) Plaza, Hwy 35 N, just before County Library. (Drew split to open solo in Spring Lake Heights). Regarding the latter two -- so much for the myth of Italian "Famiglia." All of the above know it's "Pasta e Fagioli," not "pasta fazool." Where are these? I bought "cold cuts" from Franks when I first moved here. never been in there again. As a cafe, I like Chat N Nibble. Who can resist Mary? Wegman's is nice, but please, I so glad Boar's Head trucks finally made it to these parts. Thumann's is spam to me. We need a nice baresi pork store.
