And in America, some places spend more then $20k per kid for education and that's PUBLIC elementary school. And in other parts of the world - those monies would educate quite a few more kids. In Grenada I know, why then don't I move with my kids there..... I was in Grenada (remember - invasion of.). The school kids there were on their way to school in their uniforms, some kids had these little pencils - like we did when we were little - sharpening those big ones down to nothing. Well these kids didn't so that - that's all they had and they treasured it. I think their open air school was wither built by IBM or the US Government. When I got back, I collected a bunch of old pens and pencils and crayons -emptying out everything I can think of and sent them back with my father on his next trip. Then I thought I'd start something like "steal a pencil from work day" or empty out that kitchen drawer - pens and pencils. The stuff we toss away could go along way around the world. The kids spoke english as well. See why, and its been about 10 years since I was there: http://www.gov.gd/min-youth.html Yahoo!
