While the pros and cons of a good retail or food chain can be argued, I think back to when the public, Duany, Asbury Partners, Clark Hintz, etc., had all those public meetings on what the redevolpment should look like. I think the vast majority didn't want chains, the reason, we should make Asbury Park unique.
I think more than three of one place should make it officially a chain. The one caveat could be if the place chains out after it is in Asbury Park, then it is grandfathered in.
