I'm kind of looking for a place in NYC for my princess. I was looking
for a "no fee" (as if nots built in the price somewhere) agent.

After all in NYC, does a large building in a hot spot or nice building
really need a broker. No.

So you find someone to show you around BUT before you do, you sign a
contract for you to pay them (the agent) a 15% fee (of the total lease).

So twice now I've had someone show me all kinds of places - but no sale.

Yesterday I had someone show me a couple places "no fee" or paid by the
management company. But, needless to say, I had to make a decision
right there.

So now I am looking at a site called "skipbroker.com" .

Another example. Look at Madison Marquette. They now own Wesley Grove.
They have or will hire a receptionist or two with a real estate license
and pay them a salary maybe with a bonus and try to sell out Wesley
Grove = more or less avoiding commissions to brokers/agents (not to say
they won't pay a fee - not sure) - but they hold a NJ Broker's lic and
therefore, keep it in house as much as possible. But 1/2 of the comm
goes back to them.
