The designation is important for the redevelopment of Springwood Avenue! The Springwood Avenue Brownfield Development Area is a joining with Neptune Twp West Lake Avenue Brownfield Development Area to address (in part) the contamination going into Wesley Lake, in additions to the items pointed out in the AP article. The storm water run-offs along Springwood and West Lake Avenues end up in Wesley Lake!
