I hear what you are saying but you are missing my point. When there was no paid
parking on my block, people who didn't want to pay to park by the bw used my
block thus forcing us residents to park a block or more away from our homes.

Now, these same people are avoiding the new pay parking spaces, and using
Bergh, which is where I now want to park because I'm not going to buy a permit
to park on an empty street. I only have my choice of spots if I'm willing to
pay $30, despite the fact that none of those spots are being used. After living
here for 6 years, I know the summer parking routine quite well, and the
scenerio I described is exactly what has happened, that was my point. I don't
see it changing, and I think it was a mistake to over-estimate the potential
for paid parking west of Kingsley.

As for security at my home, it's absurd to consider that I now need to pay $30
to park in a spot visible from my home (or in front of my home) when the entire
street is empty virtually all of the time.

And what's up with an empty sign pole now sitting there for nearly 3 weeks?

I'm not trying to be annoying or frustrate you or anybody, I'm just stating my
observations.
