Walking down the boardwalk the other night and again sitting there on 8th ave
just now eating and though of Jim Grabe - aka The Flag Man.
Let's bring Jim back to life for a few minutes and recall how he believed in
the country and the symbol - the American flag.
One of his complaints was how the flag was flown (or not flown) on CH.
Today, the flag is getting closer to being "half a flag" - looking like it just
came from a battle.
So in memory of Jim Grabe and 4th of July - time to splurge for a new flag.
After all if I can pay $14 for a pee sample cup of wine and a beer - I'm sure a
flag can be purchased.
