Residents & Patrons of Asbury Park:
The City of Asbury Park Office of Emergency Management officials have
issued an Voluntary Evacuation Plan: If you live in a low lying flood prone
area, it is strongly recommended that you evacuate as soon as possible.
The AP Boardwalk will be closed at 4:00pm TODAY.
Businesses throughout the city will be closing by 4:00pm TODAY.
Please note: Authorities are predicting this to be a completely different
storm than Irene. We are urging residents and business owners to prepare
based on the Hurricane Sandy storm indicators & warnings; not on past
experience.

Shelter Information:
The Reception Center for transportation to Monmouth County Shelters is
located at the Thurgood Marshall School, 600 Monroe Avenue, Asbury Park - the
reception center is open as of 1pm today. Transportation will be provided
from the Thurgood Marshall Center for those without it. You must check in
at the Reception Center BEFORE proceeding to a shelter.
