Goto SQL Server Configuration Manager, select the Protocols for MSSQLSERVER
node and set TCP/IP to enabled.

Hi All,
I ve installed Visual Studio.NET 2005 and SQL SERVER Express Edition 205
is installed with that package. I ve followed the steps as it is described
in MSDN Library but my connection to the sql server was failed. The error is
"An error occured while establishing a connection to the server. When
conecting to SQL SERVER 205, this failure may be caused by the fact that
under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.
(provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 Could not open a conection to
SQL Server)".
