On Illegal Immigration
Early this month, when the present Governor of Asom, Mr Shiv Charan Mathur was sworn in, he had occasion to refer to the problem of illegal immigration from Bangladesh and called it a national problem. It is significant that he should have done this in his very first speech as the head of the State.
