Hi All,

I have a laptop with an AR2425 in it, which the latest compat-wireless
works great on, all except for the throughput.

If I leave the rate to auto, it seems to settle at 36M, but if I force
it to 54M, I loose all RX/TX, even though I am less then one meter from
the AP.

When I do a xfer from a wired pc to the laptop, I get no more then
800k/s. If I manually set the rate to a lower value, such as 11M, the
rate goes up to around 1.2M/s.

TCP Dump is reporting unknown packets. When I google for answers, there
is a post on this mailing list that suggests the problem is with the
lack of fast frames support in the driver.

The AP I am talking to is a Apple Airport, and at home a D-Link device,
I don't know about the apple device, but I know the D-Link device does
not support FF, so I doub't that it is the issue.

This issue has been occuring since AR2425 support was added months ago
and I assumed it was just due to the early state of the code, however
over the last few days, after playing around, and googling for others
with the problem, I am convinced that there is something else going on.

I have started to research into adding FF support to ath5k, and playing
around with the possibility that it could be the problem, but before I
can accurately test my code, I need to be sure that the lack of FF
support is not the problem.
