I also have been experiencing this problem for the last couple of years (and always updating the kernel).
Right now i'm using the latest kubuntu 10.04 kernel (2.6.32) with the following hardware: $ lspci -nn | grep Atheros 00:0a.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros AR5001X+ Wireless Network Adapter [168c:0013] (rev 01) And here are the error messages: $ dmesg | tail -n 5 [ 2677.806588] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2417MHz) [ 2678.426753] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2417MHz) [ 2688.172822] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2417MHz) [ 2698.207750] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2417MHz) [ 2708.242452] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2417MHz) Any idea of what is the problem? _______________________________________________ ath5k-devel mailing list ath5k-devel@lists.ath5k.org https://lists.ath5k.org/mailman/listinfo/ath5k-devel
