Speaker setup and placement have a very large effect on soundstage. Room treatments (ie sonex panels or asc tube traps etc.) can help control the space aiding you in creating a better "background" for the music, by minimizng reflections and echo etc. Products like the Carver can seem helpful but imho they are products which are additive, ie they alter sound and add to original source. Most audiophiles would agree that these products do more harm than good, and want the reproduction to be true to the source. My setup Hales Model 2, SB3, Krell DSP, Rogue Audio Integrated, Audioquest Cables. Soundstage and imaging tops, until you compare it to the LP12! LMK if I can be of help cheers/ harris
