Good idea, especially for cramped quarters (unlike maggies). I want powered monitors too, mainly because I read liner notes and can't help but notice what monitors were used. For example, my favorite sounding album is Monty Alexander meets Ernest Ranglin on Telarc, and I would love to listen to it through the ATC floorstanding monitors they used in the studio. I also see it as a great way to remove the veil of the tube amp I use every once in awhile.
