I paid a lump-sum to my A/V installer, which included running wire for in-ceiling speakers (Proficient Audio, pretty decent BTW). Surfing the net, seems the amp sells for about $240, but I think I got it for a little less.
I'm running the SB analog out to the audio in of the Russound. I mounted the amp on the back of my bedroom dresser, virtually invisible. In a kitchen, it could go on top of, inside, or under, cabinets. The Russound Auto Power On/Off has an adjustable time out, which I had to tweak a bit. I am also using the Slimserver Pre-Amp Volume Control, to allow me to keep the volume scale 35-40 for typical listening. -- sleepysurf squeezebox2 (with elpac wm075-1950-760 linear psu) direct to amp, 300gb buffalo linkstation (remote flac audio file storage), sunfire cinema grand 200 ~five (vertically bi-amped) driving martin-logan aerius i's, blue jeans cables.
