I recommend that you avoid Sony products like the plague. There are a number of reasons, but most of the big ones have to do with Sony's aggressive DRM ("Digital Rights Management") stance, which has resulted in (among other things) the recent fiasco with Sony cd's (unlawfully) installing things onto people's computers without their knowledge or permission. The big drag of their mp3 players is that you have to use Sony's own "SonicStage" software for loading and/or deleting anything from the player.. which is very inconvenient. Also, Sony mp3 players don't actually play mp3's - you have to use SonicStage to convert all mp3's to Sony's proprietary format. It's a major time-waster, and offers you, the consumer, no benefit whatsoever. I say, find a player that has a mini hard drive, and that plays FLAC.
