As a follow-up to my prior post, I tried this config out over the weekend: SB3 -> Digital Coax (from bluejeanscable) -> Benchmark DAC1 -> Balanced Cables (from bluejeanscable) -> Classé DR-15 mono blocks -> Canare bi-wires (yes, from bluejeanscable) -> Magnepan MG-3.5Rs & REL Strata III
The speakers are far from being optimally positioned (I still need to re-arrange the furniture). I'm bypassing my Denon 3802 pre-amp and using the variable setting on the DAC1 to control the volume.
