FWIW I don't think these rules are as clear cut as you're making them
seem. Some speakers sound better closer to the wall/corner. Some rooms
need the listening seat close to the back wall. I would rather move my
listening chair than start throwing equalization at the problem.
Experimentation should dictate your placement, not audiophile ideals.
