I at least have no idea what the capabilities of the Xbox are - I'm assuming it has a digital audio out you can plug into a DAC or digital receiver? If so, the difference is one of sound quality (almost certainly inferior in the Xbox, since it wasn't engineered for this) and convenience (don't you need a TV on to use it? Can you search/scan through music easily?). The sound quality issue is rather subjective, and also depends strongly on your system - if you have a jitter resistant DAC the hype at least is that the source is not particularly important. -- opaqueice ------------------------------------------------------------------------ opaqueice's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4234 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23614 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
