I'll chime in here, too, as I just had my first drive failure. I have 14 drives in my house right now, and just yesterday a 250GB WD in a Linux raid-5 setup (my music server, no less) died. My other Linux Raid-5 setup is all Seagate, as are most of my other drives. Never had a Seagate fail.
On the plus side, this is my excuse to pick up a 1 TB ReadyNAS NV. NewEgg should have it here by Monday ;-).
