Sean, could you verify if the the pk-pk value is the "latest" (most
delayed) sample minus the "earliest" sample?  That is, if you plotted
the jitter samples in a histogram, is pk-pk the distance between the
sample farthest to the right and the sample farthest to the left?  Or
instead is it the distance from the farthest sample to the center?

If the former, your jitter data from the other thread is consistent
(more or less) with being Gaussian.  If not, it's very far from
Guassian.

I'm asking this because in the first case case it should possible to
compare to other measurements of Gaussian jitter by comparing sigma or
the rms value.   However you'd have to be more careful using pk-pk,
since that is subject to much larger statistical fluctuations and
depends somwhat on the sample size.

In the latter case you can't compare at all, unless all jitter spectra
are non-Gaussian in the same way...
