Oh, c'mon now. No reason to wave a red cape in Sean's face -- an earlier post already got him to display an uncharacteristic flash of crankiness. I've heard various equipment dramatically improved by the more reputable modders, the ones who do their homework on each design and, if they've found actual places a realistic improvement can be made, offer that as a service. I've heard some genuine improvement versus stock in some things Wayne at Bolder has worked on, and I've heard quite frankly mind-boggling improvements in already-good TacT gear when Anthony Padilla has applied his obsessive internal noise-control techniques.
