At risk of taking your post seriously ;)

There is a Chesky sampler (I think it's their demo disk) that has (I
think) Dave Chesky's dulcit tones explaining terms like this and then
there's music to highlight what he's talking about.  Naturally, the
recordings all sound superb.

Although I think he's cheating.  It would be much more impressive if he
managed to explain the terms without reference to real music, surely?
