A lot of these proposed super remotes and GUIs would be nice, but IMO they are overkill. The way I use my squeezeboxes, I spend a few seconds, or occasionally maybe a minute, finding what I want and then I'm good for hours of playback.
If you have meaningful tags, you can just load up an Artist, Genre, or Year and let it play for hours. My library doesn't include any "bad" tracks, so I never have to run for the remote to skip past a song I don't like.
