There are lot of successful small UK companies in different fields and
VC are always looking for the next big thing to make some money from.
Many fail, but lots survive too - companies like Dyson and ARM and
others around Cambridge.

The US does have the benefit of scale however, selling thousands of
units is easier in a country of 300 million people, whereas in Europe
there are about 300 million people too, but spread over many countries
and cultures.
