Not really. I don't play video on my PC. Well, low-quality snippets of stuff, but that's it. I suppose the need might be there if I downloaded or ripped movies, but I don't. Note I said "personally". A lot of others like yourself seem to want it/like it, and I guess I can see the interest in doing for video what the Squeezebox/Transporter does for audio.
