Since you are using digital out, there are a few things you can try out
before building a linear PSU.

1. Get a power line filter / isolation transformer. These are plug-in -
no soldering. It will be useful even if you are going for a linear PSU
at a later stage.

2. Try an optical cable (if you have one laying around).

Finally, if you still want to get a linear PSU,  consider a pre-built
one. Or maybe you know someone who can help you?
