The SB3 is a good digital source, so worthy of effort. Mods, PSUs or a NOS DAC are probably worthwhile, although only you can decide which. I recognise that this is not that helpful - all I can say is that it is worth spending money trying to improve things, but it's up to you (and your system) as to how!
