That seems like a pretty "objectivist" position to me :). The idea that all objectivists think that if you can't measure it you can't hear it is a canard.
The position I, and I think others, take is: if you can't measure it, you better be able to show that it can be distinguished in blind tests, in order to make sure it's doing _something_.
