I love it when people come to realize that the engineers who designed the thing in the first place actually knew what they were doing.
Much silliness is perpetrated by audio maniacs in the pursuit of "better performance". Some do things like remove Zobel networks from amplifier outputs, remove coupling caps from amplifier inputs, etc., to "improve" their equipment, only to end up with blown speakers and toasted amplifiers.
