Must be a large company to afford equipment like that!

Perhaps the tweak you saw was a Zobel network, which presents a more
consistent load to the amp across the spectrum.

Thanks for the info. I've read that solder mask on circuit boards can
be repaired with fingernail polish, and would imagine it would come in
handy as a re-insulator on stripped magnet wire as well- or if someone
wonders if blue wire would vibrate differently.
