It sounds like the PC resamples everything to 48kHz, or does your DAC indicate otherwise?
I'd like to do this comparison as well, but after nixing kmixer and using toslink from my cheap soundcard to my cheap DAC, which the Squeezebox usually feeds via coax s/pdif. Triode posted a plugin in the developers forum recently, which generates square waves and such. Maybe I can somehow feed the DAC into my Maudio external soundcard and measure something using the computer(?). Does anyone have advice on testing without a scope? At any rate, it was nice to read about your experience.
