Dunno it might do. I have an SB+ and prefer the look to the transporter. As for sound I wouldn't dare to offer a deep comparison - Id be comparing something I know very well (SB+) with something I've heard at shows (transporter). Based on that I certainly think anyone in the zone for £1000 or more for a streaming music player would do well to get an audition of both if they can.
