While adding a linear supply to the box might do some good, depending on
who you ask, there is a good reason not to make it too big.  A 12A
supply used where only a 1A or so supply is required will be capable of
destrying a PCB if something goes wrong in the SB.

Industrial linear power supplies are usually built with EI core
transformers.  The bigger the core, the greater the leakage of the
magnetic field from it.  A smaller supply will be less likely to
pollute your audio with stray magnetic fields.

If you want the thing to be heavy, as it must be for true high-end
status, add some bricks or lead shot.  Tell people its there to dampen
vibrations.
