You could probably design some sort of wide spaced base using PVC pipe in about 10 minutes. The pipe could then be filled with concrete, gravel, sand, lead shot, water, whatever you want to add some weight. A pair of stands might cost all of $20 to build and take all of an hour to measure, cut, and glue the pipe. Use schedule 40 PVC water pipe and there will be no worries about the strength of the structure- I built my son's loft bed from 2" schedule 40 about 5 years ago and he still uses it.
