I haven't tried DRC, but it is a lot cheaper than Acourate (free vs
$430+ ).

Acourate does phase correction that other systems don't (as far as I
know).

It would make sense to start out with DRC. I went for Acourate last
fall since it would also generate TacT RCS filters, and at the time
Inguz had a bug in the convolver that has since been fixed.

Once you can make response measurements and have DRC under control, you
can submit a measurement and a favorite music file to the Acourate
author and he'll send you back the corrected music file to try out - so
you can compare them for yourself.
