Ok, let me start over. I think it is going to work:)
There is a new version of sox, version 13.0.0. The Windows version can be downloaded from SourceForge at: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10706&package_id=10619&release_id=485785 I dropped the executable sox.exe into Slimserver's MSWin32-x86-multi-thread folder, after backing up the old version. This is a vast improvement over the earlier version, and it will handle a 24 bit stream. Given that, the following rule change in convert.conf should work, although I need to do more testing to be sure: flc wav * * [flac] -dcs --skip=$START$ --until=$END$ -- $FILE$ | [sox] -t wav - -t wav - filter 0-24000 This will create a low-pass filter with a fairly sharp knee at 24KHz. The next trick is to be able to differentiate between a Transporter and an SB3 based on MAC filtering. -Ron -- Ron F. *Squeezebox setup:* wireless SB3 -> CI Audio VDA.2 DAC + VAC.1 PSU *Main rig:* NAD 7600 + NAD 2600A -> Phase Tech PC-6.5 speakers *Headphone rig:* Headroom Max -> Sennheiser 650s *Music Server:* Nano-ITX computer running SlimCD + 750 GByte HDD -> Netgear wireless router *Other stuff:* NAD C542 CDP, NAD 6300 Tape, Monster 5100 Power conditioner, Outlaw Audio cables ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ron F.'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5616 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36240 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
