Actually, in all likelihood (and I hate saying this because people tend
to interpret "could be" as "will be") Transporter could be made to play
DSD natively. It has a DSD-capable DAC, and there is programmable logic
interfacing the CPU to the DAC, and it can produce the right clock
frequency. But there is really no point because there is no DSD
material out there, except on SACDs, for which no feasible/legal
ripping mechanism currently exists.
